Last Wednesday (25), the red-black nutritionist Renata Parra was invited to participate in a live broadcast that had as its theme “the role of the nutritionist in sports”. The virtual chat was broadcast live on the Instagram page of @estacio_interlagos, in a partnership between the university and CUIDAR, the department responsible for offering all support to Mengão's Olympic athletes.

Renata, in addition to working as a nutritionist for the Flamengo Olympic sports team, also works in functional physical therapy. She spoke to the Official Website about the main topics covered in the livestream:

"The chat was really great. I was able to explain the role of a sports nutritionist. I talked about monitoring an athlete's physical activity, as well as all the metabolic and energy demands. I also explained a bit about how we work here at the club, the importance of having a multidisciplinary team, and the interaction between coaches, coordinators, and sports managers. I also talked about our visit to the US Olympic Committee and some of the things we're trying to implement at Flamengo," said the nutritionist.

It is worth mentioning that the red-black professional also works for the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) in major sporting events, such as the Olympic and Pan-American Games.
