The new board of directors of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo has just completed 100 days in office, led by president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello. It's been 100 days of hard work, but above all, of regaining the club's credibility. We invite you, member and fan, to check out our accomplishments over these 100 days. Read the president's letter below, as well as the accomplishments of each vice president during this period:

Dear red and black friends,

Having completed 100 days in office, we would like to share with you our impressions of what has happened during this short but intense period of work.

After being elected in a process that mobilized and excited a large part of the membership and which, therefore, brought us enormous responsibility, in my inauguration speech I emphasized the need to manage Flamengo with professionalism, competence, creativity and responsibility.

And, following this premise, we are working to restore Flamengo's credibility and dignity, with the aim of giving the red-black nation reasons to be proud of the club that represents it.

When we took over, we found Flamengo completely discredited among its main stakeholders: creditors, suppliers, financial institutions, athletes, potential sponsors, the press, and all levels of government.

We found an institution whose revenues were seized, its receivables compromised, installment payments not met, and which was systematically financed through tax evasion and misappropriation.

There was a complete lack of control in the legal area, with missed deadlines and poorly drafted contracts, which contributed significantly to worsening our already fragile financial situation.

Flamengo's marketing was completely abandoned; Olympic sports had virtually no revenue of their own and expenses were completely incompatible with reality, and were therefore highly deficient.

Football, in addition to its mediocre performance, was in an almost unsustainable situation, with countless financial issues with athletes, onerous and poorly drawn up contracts and a total lack of planning.

Our main idol, Zico, had been disrespected and, with good reason, left the club, which contributed even more to tarnishing our image..

In the reports from the club's vice-presidents, you will find a summary of the actions already undertaken in these last 100 days and the projection of what we intend to achieve in 2013. These documents clearly demonstrate that we have already begun the recovery of Flamengo's image and already have reason to be proud of the work accomplished.

 As promised during the campaign, a professional structure was implemented and highly competent executives were hired in all areas of the club.

With this, we can now see the changes that have allowed us to make a leap in quality in Flamengo's management.

Also in line with what was announced when we took office, we have been tireless in our efforts to restore the club's credibility in terms of fulfilling our commitments and regularizing our tax situation.

To this end, we were forced to adopt austerity measures that initially certainly impacted our performance in the sporting and social spheres, but whose results are already beginning to appear.

In this sense, it is impossible not to highlight the great victory represented by the issuance of all negative debt certificates with the public sector, which will allow us to advance even further towards our financial recovery and make the dreams of all red-blacks come true in the areas of football, rowing, Olympic sports and the comfort and well-being of the club's members.

We have an immense challenge ahead of us and we are very far from the goals we set out to achieve.

And we are aware that we will never fully achieve these goals without the experience and support of great Flamengo fans like yourselves. Flamengo has a wonderful history that we deeply respect and that is the reason for the passion that drives us.

Rest assured that there will be a permanent open channel so that we can be increasingly united.
