Launched on Monday (January 25th) with the participation of Flamengo president Patricia Amorim, the 01nd National Red-Black Blood Campaign continues at blood banks across the country. The campaign, run in partnership with the Ministry of Health, aims to encourage fans to donate blood, especially this week, during a time when blood banks are affected by the shortages typical of the holiday season. "It's very important to donate blood and help those in need, especially at this time of year, when accidents are common. We all may need it one day – I've had relatives and friends who needed donations," said Flamengo basketball center Wagner, who attended HemoRio on Monday along with coach Paulo Chupeta.

This Thursday, January 28th, special events are scheduled in three states. In addition to Maceió (AL) and Linhares (ES), São Luís (MA) fans are mobilizing to donate at Deodoro Square, in front of the Public Library, until 01 p.m. A team of doctors and nurses from HEMOMAR will be on site, accompanied by a Mobile Unit. A team from FLA São Luís will be there, distributing shirts to participating donors and documenting their donation with a photo.

The donation period runs until January 30th. This Friday, January 29th, mobilizations are scheduled in Rio de Janeiro, with the participation of the Club's official mascots and athletes, as well as in Manaus (AM), Passos (MG) and Anápolis (GO).
