The Red-Black Nation fills the stands, bars, and major networks. With 7,8 million likes, Flamengo's official Facebook page is the largest soccer fan page outside of Europe. The club's growth on the social network has been impressive; from August 2013 to the current record, it gained 4,4 million new followers: an increase of over 100%. Now, Flamengo has over 9,2 million fans across its official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Google Plus accounts. And the growth doesn't stop there.

Behind Flamengo's greatness is the Nação Rubro-Negra (Red-Black Nation). Passionate and active on the club's official social media channels, the fans have been sharing and sending out messages of affection, elevating the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) to the status of the largest Brazilian club on social media. The fans, who demand the work and praise when they see results, are the main fuel for Flamengo's content generation. The millions of comments and likes are the club's main motivation and a gauge that shows it's on the right track.

Another major step toward strengthening the club's online presence was strengthening relationships with Flamengo bloggers. To support Flamengo's Digital Media, club professionals and independent producers of online content about the club began working together to shape the future of Flamengo's digital media.

Most searched on Google

In December of last year, as is the company's tradition, Google released a list of the most searched terms on the search engine throughout the year. The ranking is divided into diverse topics and countries. Among Brazilian teams, Flamengo was the most searched for by internet users. The peak in searches for Flamengo occurred between November 24th and 30th, not coincidentally, the week in which the Mais Querido won its third Copa do Brasil title.
