Last Saturday (December 8th), the Judo, Artistic Gymnastics and Synchronized Swimming School Festival was held at the Gávea headquarters. The event was attended by illustrious athletes and leaders, such as two-time world floor champion Diego Hypólito, Olympic judoka Frederico Flexa and Vice President of Olympic Sports Patrícia Amorim.
The Judo Festival, held at Flamengo's dojo, featured a total of 70 children who received certificates and new belts from Olympic judoka and Flamengo judo director Frederico Flexa. On the occasion, Carlos Alberto Monteiro de Farias, judo coordinator, and Patrícia Amorim watched the judokas perform after receiving their belts.
Two hundred and thirty registered. This was the number of gymnasts who participated in the Artistic Gymnastics Festival, held at the Cláudio Coutinho Gymnasium. Under the watchful eye of Diego Hypólito and Victor Rosa, standouts in the sport and members of the Brazilian national team, who performed some movements to the delight of the audience, the new generation of gymnasts showcased their talent. All received event t-shirts, which were attended by the club's Vice President of Olympic Sports. The event definitively capped off a brilliant year for the Artistic Gymnastics Schools.
In Synchronized Swimming, also watched proudly by Patrícia Amorim, 70 students from the Escolinha performed exceptionally well. Roberta Périllier, coach of Flamengo and the Brazilian National Swimming Team, also attended the event and was pleased with the results. The Festival, held at Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park, featured participation from Clube Guanabara and the club's federated teams.
