President Bandeira de Mello, idols Adílio and Júlio César Uri Geller, and defender Samir attend party for children with cancer

On the morning of this Tuesday (08.10), President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, idols Adílio and Júlio César Uri Geller, as well as defender Samir, attended the Children's Day party organized at the National Cancer Institute (INCA), in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to going up on stage to liven up the celebration, they visited the beds of some children, took photos, signed autographs and, above all, brought the red-black joy to those who need a lot of affection.
"Participation in this event is essential, as INCA has tremendous credibility that transcends borders. Flamengo has a responsibility to participate. It's almost an obligation. We are happy to bring a little joy to these children," said President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, who promised support to the institute whenever needed.
Approximately 250 children, ranging from newborns to 18 years old, both in outpatient and inpatient settings, participated in the celebration. The event was organized by INCA Volunteer and featured a variety of activities, including animated photo opportunities, a fashion dressing room, children's entertainment, a clown show, and more. Flamengo provided kits to the young people, which will be delivered to the Institute later this week.
"I have to thank Flamengo for being able to honor this type of event. I'm very happy to make people smile, especially these children with cancer, who need our support," said defender Samir, just 18 years old, who was very touched by the affection of the patients.
The National Cancer Institute is a public institution and INCA Voluntário is the area responsible for managing the activities of 600 volunteers at the institute, in addition to raising donations to carry out educational, recreational, social integration and leisure activities, which aim at the well-being of patients and their families.
