Adílio led the youngsters who are in the Flamengo professional squad

LANCEPRESS!

With a number of absences in recent rounds, Flamengo had to invest in the club's rising talent to compete in the Brazilian Championship. Some of the young players are still trying to establish themselves in the professional ranks and are having difficulties. But former youth coach Adílio is confident in the success of his former charges.

Flamengo idol Adílio also came through the ranks of the club and knows all too well what it's like to leave the youth academy and face a game for the seniors. That's why the coach asked for more patience with the Flamengo youth squad, even to avoid burning them out, and for the support of the more experienced players during this difficult time.

"The young players who have been promoted have great potential. They've waited a long time for this opportunity, and everyone needs to know that things happen without planning. They need the support of the more experienced players, like Adriano, Willians, and Ronaldo Angelim," he stated.

Adílio recalled his early professional career. Despite the great responsibility, he rose to the occasion and earned everyone's trust to continue:

"I look at this situation and remember my time there. I was called up to replace Zico, played a great game, and have remained in the senior squad ever since. I'm sure that with a positive result, everyone will feel more at ease and will be able to showcase their skills."
