Idol brought young people from underprivileged communities to visit Flamengo's social headquarters

This Tuesday (30.03) will be remembered by a group of 135 children and teenagers, who had the opportunity to visit Flamengo's social headquarters. Members of the "Passe de Letra" social project, maintained by mega-champion Adílio in the Salgueiro community, in Niterói, the young people were amazed by the number of people who spend time at the club playing sports.
Responsible for guiding the group on the 'tour', Adílio explained how the idea of setting up this project in Salgueiro came about.
"The idea came about in conjunction with the Secretariat of Social Action and Human Rights of Rio de Janeiro," said Adílio.
Still with an intense relationship with the Rubro-negro, the champion in the 80s showed the young people the most important areas of the social headquarters, such as the Aquatic Park and the professional football field, where Flamengo's stars train.
"For these boys and girls, raised in a poor community, it is more than a gift to have the opportunity to experience Flamengo," said Adílio.
At the end of the visit, the children couldn't hide the smiles on their faces. Excited, they left Gávea with a different perspective on the sport.
"This is a place reserved for playing sports. You can see there's a lot of discipline. It's good to learn that. No one is out on the street doing anything wrong," said 14-year-old Paulo Roberto da Silva.
