The Quebrando Barreiras Project, aimed at all residents of the neighborhoods of Cavalcante, Cascadura, Tomas Coelho and surrounding areas, received several official gifts from Rubro-Negro, such as shirts, games and toys, to help the more than 50 students enrolled.

The Project, which focuses primarily on Basketball, prioritizes the development of athletes, seeking to develop citizens who are aware of their rights and duties in society.

The Breaking Barriers Project only operates thanks to the perseverance of its founders, as it has never received financial support. By selling raffle tickets for these donated gifts, the Project raised money and purchased more sports equipment. Previously, the equipment used consisted of just three basketballs.

The Project operates in a multi-sports court, located in the square near the Cavalcante Railway Station.

Classes are three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), from 2pm to 4pm.
