Saturday (July 16.07) is the day of the red-and-black "Arraiá" in Gávea. The party takes place at Praça Carlinhos Violinho, starting at 1 p.m. Admission is free for members (upon presentation of their club card) and guests must contribute 13 kg of non-perishable food.

Attractions include stalls selling typical foods such as sausage, barbecue, caldo verde, sweets, and more; games such as fishing, ball in a can, ring toss, tail on the donkey, clown's mouth, and more; and a children's play area with a mechanical bull, bouncy castle, inflatable slide, and ball pit.

The "arraia" will also feature a performance by quadrilhas from Colégio Pinheiro Guimarães.
