The publisher 7 Letras is launching "Manual do Rubro-Negrismo racional" (Manual of Rational Flamengo Fandom), by advertising executive Arthur Muhlenberg, this Tuesday, November 3rd, in Rio de Janeiro. The 114-page book is a collection of texts published by the author on Urublog, the Flamengo fan blog on GloboEsporte.com. Run by Muhlenberg since mid-2007, Urublog is one of the portal's most popular blogs, with over 1 million monthly visits.

Featuring illustrations by Raphael Salimena and a foreword by André Sant'Anna, the book brings together 33 texts/posts on various topics, with a focus on the series celebrating the five consecutive Rio de Janeiro state championships. All are in the author's characteristic style: great humor, a certain dose of intellectual erudition mixed with knowledge of popular culture, the typical informal Rio de Janeiro language, and merciless sarcasm directed at Flamengo's rivals – especially the "rainbow" group, as Muhlenberg calls the group formed by the other three major clubs in Rio.

The launch event will take place this Tuesday, November 3rd, starting at 19 PM, at the Belmonte bar, located at Rua Jardim Botânico, 617, where Arthur will be available for photos and autographs. The suggested retail price for the edition is R$ 25,00.

"Manual of Rational Flamengo Fandom" is Muhlenberg's first solo book. In 2006, he participated in "Being Flamengo," a collection of texts published on another blog (Blog da FlamengoNET - www.flamengonet.blogspot.com), released by Folha Seca publishing house. The author also participates as a columnist in Flamengo's official magazine, launched in October and already on newsstands.
