Heavy rain in Rio de Janeiro late Sunday afternoon forced the cancellation of one of the most anticipated events of the year. The Guns N' Roses show at Apoteose was postponed until April. The stage where Axl Rose and company were scheduled to perform collapsed due to the force of the rain. Beforehand, however, band members were presented with Flamengo's sacred jersey.

The Flamengo marketing department presented guitarist Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer with club jerseys. Pitman, who is married to a Brazilian woman and a self-proclaimed Flamengo fan, couldn't hide his joy and promised to visit the Gávea headquarters in April.

"I'm very happy, it's incredible to win the Flamengo jersey. I played soccer in high school, but I was very bad, I just kicked others. I'm a Flamengo fan because of my son, who is Brazilian and a die-hard Flamengo fan, and also because of my wife, who gave me my first Flamengo jersey," said Pitman, who was going to wear the jersey at the show in São Paulo, but was convinced not to because of the rivalry with Palmeiras, since the show was at Palestra Itália.
