Flamengo president Patricia Amorim's birthday party took place in one of Rio's liveliest venues. The president celebrated at the traditional Red and Black Ball last Friday (February 12th) alongside two other club idols, Mozer and Virna, who were crowned King and Queen of the ball held at Scala, a concert venue two blocks from the club's headquarters.
Mozer was a World Cup winner with Flamengo in 1981 and is spending a season in Rio de Janeiro after living abroad for a long time. Virna, a volleyball star, won the 2000/2001 Superliga champion with Flamengo, her favorite club.
In a brief speech, Patricia Amorim took the opportunity to thank everyone for attending. She also said she counts on the support of the Flamengo Nation for Wednesday's match against Botafogo. Born on February 13, 1969, the former swimmer took over as president of Flamengo in early January for a three-year term.
