Flamengo's new sponsor, Batavo, is now entering the second stage of its agreement with the red-and-black club. After signing the contract, the company and the club's marketing department will begin marketing projects to promote their brands. Several promotional activities may be launched, and the first of these was already announced at this Wednesday's press conference. Batavo will donate a liter of milk to survivors of the Haiti earthquake for every fan attending Flamengo's games this season.

The club's vice president of marketing, Henrique Brandão, announced the measure: "The first action is the donation of a liter of milk for each fan at the games. It's not just a marketing initiative, but mainly a social responsibility initiative." Eric Boutaud, Marketing Director of the Batavo-Elegê Business Unit, stated that more initiatives are still to come: "We're still thinking about it; this is the second phase of the project, but we'll definitely have other promotional activities."

President Patricia Amorim spoke about the negotiation and celebrated the fact that she was one of those responsible for the largest sponsorship contract in Flamengo's history.

\

"We've reached the end of this intense negotiation. I'm absolutely convinced that from today onwards we'll be taking a big step forward. We're very pleased with this new partnership. It's the largest sponsorship deal Flamengo has ever had. A contract that ensures the viability of the football department. We'll keep it competitive with the biggest football clubs in Brazil. It's great to start a new administration with a new sponsor," he said.

A housewife and mother of three, she ended the press conference in a good-humoured way: "I now ask that all housewives buy Batavo products."
