During the presentation of the new players for Flamengo's basketball team for the 10/11 season, one thing stood out, besides the presence of the Flamengo stars: the caps they were wearing. Since September 2009, the most beloved club in Brazil has licensed its brand to the company Marc4 and, therefore, has had access to products of the highest quality, truly worthy of the club's greatness.
And fans can also purchase their official Flamengo cap, whether it's Flexfit or New Era, the two most famous brands in the world, at sporting goods stores. According to Marc4, the rights holder, one line has already been launched, but more news is coming by the end of the year.
"We initially launched 14 Flexfit Flamengo cap models in September 2009, including one women's model and three with a vintage look. And, by the end of this year, we are launching 10 more models of this brand. As for the New Era caps, seven models were launched in the 5950 format, with a flat brim, which are the ones that appeared on the heads of the athletes at the basketball press conference," stated Artur Regen, executive director of Marc4.
Aware that having the largest fan base in Brazil also makes a difference when it comes to the sale of official products, the company wants to invest more and more in the Flamengo brand.
"We are very pleased with the acceptance and demand for our products from Flamengo fans. Sales have exceeded our expectations, mainly due to the high number of fans outside of Rio de Janeiro. So much so that we surpassed our two-year sales targets in just six months. We hope to surprise fans with increasingly differentiated products that can be used inside and outside the stadium. Flamengo fans with good taste can look forward to a line of New Era 5950 Flamengo caps, created by the great Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch, which is currently under development. Flamengo fans will soon be even more stylish," said Artur, explaining that product quality should be taken into account when making a purchase.
"We usually say that our target audience is 'those who have brains'. And our caps, being imported and from the two best brands in the world, are a little more expensive than the competition. But the look, the designs and the techniques applied to them make up for it. In addition, fans always have the opportunity to pay for the cap in installments in most stores. Flexift caps are found for R$ 79,90 and New Era caps for R$ 119,00 at points of sale throughout Brazil," he concluded.
