Bottinelli even has a website made by a Flamengo fan.

The Argentinian, who arrived in Londrina yesterday, is a new option for the Flamengo team's playmaking sector.

Argentine Darío Bottinelli has barely arrived at Flamengo and has already won over fans. This is the case with Adriano Lima, a 20-year-old journalism student, who decided to create a website in homage to "El Pollo" (Bottinelli's nickname). On Bottinelli.com.br, Adriano shares information from the press and also seeks out exclusive news about Flamengo's new midfielder.

And the page isn't just for Flamengo fans, but also for all Bottinelli fans worldwide, especially Chilean fans, Católica supporters, and Argentinians. So much so that the news is published in Spanish. Or, as Adriano admits, "in traditional Portuñol" (a mix of Portuguese and Spanish). All so that not only the fans but also Darío himself can follow along.

"Before Bottinelli was mentioned as a possible Flamengo player, I already knew him. I watched his games in the Chilean Championship on my cable TV, which receives the CDF Sports channel from Chile. When he was announced as a Flamengo signing, I decided to create the website to give a gift to all of Bottinelli's fans and to the player himself. It's like a welcome, a tribute to an athlete who can bring joy to the nation," he said.

Despite being born in Rio das Ostras, a municipality located 165 km from Rio de Janeiro, Adriano has been a Flamengo fan since childhood and does everything he can to follow the team from Gávea. With his blood red and black, the student can't find words to describe his passion.

"My love for Flamengo comes from birth. My grandfather and my father taught me to support this wonderful club. The feeling for Flamengo is infinite. There are so many stories, so many emotions. It's indescribable. I wake up thinking about Flamengo and I go to sleep thinking about Flamengo."
"I always try to go to the games, to as many as I can. Even if I don't always go to the stadium, there are very few matches that I haven't heard on the radio or watched on television," he summarized.

"El Pollo" approves – The Argentinian hasn't yet seen the page created by Adriano, but when he was informed by the official website team about its existence, he was surprised and pleased by the warm reception from the Flamengo fans. Eager to be in contact with the supporters, he is grateful for the tribute.

"I didn't know that. I thought it was really cool. I'm going to visit. I'm happy. I know that Flamengo's fanbase is very large, very beautiful, and I hope to repay the affection on the field," he stated.

Bottinelli arrived in Londrina on Wednesday night (December 05.12th) to join the delegation that is doing the Flamengo pre-season training in the city of Paraná. Next week, he is expected to return to Argentina to finalize his work visa application.
