Striker Vagner Love's debut against Bangu at Engenhão tomorrow has been given an extra twist. MC Buchecha, a die-hard Flamengo fan, created a unique Flamengo version of the hit "Só Love," especially for the "Artilheiro do Amor" (Artilleryman of Love). The song promises to get the crowd at Engenhão going.

Although "Só Love" wasn't written for the striker, Buchecha says the song is relevant. "Even unintentionally, it works well because the lyrics talk about true love. He's the Artilleryman of Love, there's this romantic thing about his love for Flamengo," believes the funk singer.

Buchecha said he was moved to hear Flamengo fans singing "Só Love" at the All-Star Game, organized by Zico. "We're used to the crowd singing along at the show, but at Maracanã it's different. It's true that "Só Love" has already become a hit, but now there's a Flamengo version, and I'm sure it'll catch on. I'll even start singing it at my shows," he revealed.

The MC also revealed that he's friends with Vagner Love, with whom he played soccer as a child. "I played pickup games with him and Carlos Alberto, back when I played soccer in Bangu. I've already given them that respect," jokes Buchecha, who bets that Love will shine brightly in the red-and-black jersey.

"He's a born Flamengo fan, I hope this relationship with Mengão lasts forever. Who knows, maybe it'll even become a book... Music, I think it's already become one," says the funk singer, who also created another song for Artilheiro do Amor, called 'É o Vagner Love!'

A die-hard Flamengo fan, the musician says that, contrary to what many people say, he's no less of a Flamengo fan than his former teammate, the late Claudinho. "Man, I get pissed off when people say that. He was more of a fan of fighting, arguing, but I used to go to Maracanã long before him, and I was even at the 92 Brazilian Championship final," he says.
