Another space is about to be revitalized at Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea. The indoor soccer field is getting new synthetic turf after 10 years of use, benefiting FlaPel and the soccer schools, which have hundreds of children, operating there.

The new lawn will be two-tone and will feature 50mm monofilament yarns, a much more modern technology than that used previously.

"This lawn that we are removing is already over ten years old. It was very damaged, the grass was burnt and there was a lot of sand underneath. This new grass is much more sophisticated. The replacement began on Wednesday (22.08) and our work is expected to be finished in 15 days", declared Celso Ribeiro, one of those responsible for the renovation.

This year, the Nunes Space had already been opened in the same location, with new changing rooms and a barbecue area, available to members who use the space.
