Dear,
I use this to, on behalf of the entire Operation Smile of Brazil, thank the Board of Directors of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo for the opportunity to display the banner promoting the Medical-Humanitarian Program of Rio de Janeiro during Flamengo's last game at Maracanã Stadium, on August 03rd.
The Rio de Janeiro International Program will be held between August 14th and 22nd of this year and will aim to offer free surgery to approximately 125 children with cleft lip and palate.
Some of the main challenges in caring for cleft patients are social exclusion and the prejudice these children face. Therefore, ensuring that information about free treatment that offers full aesthetic and functional recovery is crucial. In this sense, the opportunity offered to Operation Smile Brazil to promote its medical-humanitarian program to the world's largest fan base takes on even greater importance.
We are aware of the sensitivity and mobilization power of the Red-Black Nation and we are certain that with the help of Flamengo fans in promoting the program, we will be able to restore smiles and dignity to an even greater number of children.
Therefore, I would like to ask you about the possibility of intensifying the program's promotion, through a new display of the banner during Flamengo's next game, on 09/08, at Maracanã.
I take this opportunity to invite the Board of Directors and players of the main team of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo to visit the program, either during the screening days (August 14th and 15th, at the Nossa Senhora do Loreto Municipal Hospital, Estrada do Carico, No. 26, Galeão, Ilha do Governador, near Praça do Avião), or during the surgery days (August 18th to 22nd, at the Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital, Rua Professor Rodolpho Paulo Rocco, No. 655, Surgical Center, 12th floor, Cidade Universitária Ilha do Fundão) so that they can witness the transformation that will be made in the lives of each of these 125 children and their families, and the importance of the help of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo throughout this process of dissemination and awareness of society as a whole.
I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and admiration to Your Excellency and the entire Red-Black Nation, for your willingness to help transform the lives of Brazilian children with facial deformities.
Best Regards,
Cl Aguiar Brito Filho's ovis
