Flamengo's first signing under the Caio Júnior era, Dininho was named in the squad for the first time for the match against Ipatinga this Sunday in Minas Gerais. The defender is now eagerly anticipating his debut for the red-and-black team.

Caio Júnior led another tactical training session this Thursday at Gávea. The Flamengo coach once again named Jaílton in the starting lineup, replacing the injured Toró.
Caio Júnior divided the field into three positions. Seven starters plus Bruno were in the defensive midfield, and the three forwards (Marcinho, Souza, and Diego Tardelli) were in the offensive midfield. Between the two spaces were Éder, Paulo Sérgio, and Erick Flores, who rotated with the attacking trio.
In defense training, the seven starters had to dispossess seven attacking substitutes. When they did manage to steal the ball, they had to break away quickly, even when marked under pressure.
The three forwards only participated in training when the ball reached the attacking midfield. Supported by another player from behind, they had to try to get past three defenders and score goals. Without the ball, they marked the ball out.
In the second half, Caio Júnior switched things up. The starters were left with seven players in the attacking midfield.

Just over a month into his tenure at Flamengo, coach Caio Júnior is already facing a problem that affects most Brazilian clubs: starting lineup turnover. While it's true that some changes to the team were purely the coach's decision, what stands out is the fact that he hasn't yet managed to repeat a starting lineup since arriving at Gávea.
With Toró's injury and the medical department ruling him out of Sunday's game, the team will undergo another change to face Ipatinga. Based on the lineup changes made in yesterday's training session, Jaílton is the favorite to take over the starting midfield spot, which has been the most heavily influenced position so far.
In this section of the field, eight players have already been tested in just six games: Jaílton, Kleberson, Ibson, Renato Augusto, Toró, Marcinho, Jônatas, and Cristian.
Despite the routine obligation to make changes to the team, Caio Jr. is already hardened to the situation. For the red-and-black manager, as the competition progresses, this problem is likely to worsen even further. For several reasons.
