"I'm thinking about putting my daughter's, my wife's, and my own names on the boots. I'm still thinking about it, but I'm going to do something," says the Bahian.
The company that supplies the boots for Anjo Negro is the same one that makes Flamengo's uniforms. The shoes can be customized by the player or by the manufacturer themselves. It all depends on the athlete's request.
This Friday, Obina worked out in the weight room and then went out onto the field to work with the rest of his teammates. The player was sidelined for five months due to a left knee injury and returned to the field in early July.

Flamengo's under-19 team travels to Malaysia this Friday to compete in the Champions Youth Cup. Flamengo's competition debut is on August 8 against Milan (ITA) in Alor Setar.
The team will still face Arsenal (ING), on the 10th, and closes the first phase against Ajax (HOL), on the 12th. The main highlights of the red-black delegation are Marlon (defender), Vinicius Colombiano (midfielder), Uruguayan Hugo (midfielder) and Kayke (forward).

Developed by Nike, the same supplier as Corinthians, the red-and-black uniform alludes to the uniform used in 1981, considered by the company to be Flamengo's "Golden Year", when the club won the World Cup and the Copa Libertadores.\
The home jersey has larger stripes than the current model. The design is similar to the one used in the Copa Libertadores final. The number two jersey is white with red and black stripes on the sleeves. The design is very similar to the one used in the Rubro-Negro's most important victory: 3-0 over Liverpool in the World Cup final.
Flamengo has been wearing Nike uniforms since 2000. The new models will cost R$149,99 with an engraved number and R$139,99 without. The new Sacred Mantle is made from Dri-Fit. Inside the collar, the inscription reads: "Once Flamengo, Flamengo until death."

In Flamengo's recent Brazilian Championship matches, coach Ney Franco has been criticized for his poor results and his defensive stance. But the statistics show that the Flamengo manager isn't a defensive player.
In the coach's 74 matches in charge of Flamengo, the most frequently used formation was the 4-4-2: 53 times. He also used three other formations: the 3-5-2 seven times, the 4-5-1 three times, and the 3-6-1 on 11 more occasions. The latter was used in the Copa do Brasil final against Vasco, but Flamengo only managed to score when they switched to the 4-4-2.
Regarding the creative and defensive player mix, Neymar also leaves behind his reputation for playing defensively. The coach fielded two defensive midfielders and two creative players 52 times, adopting a more traditional formation. The more offensive formation, with just one defensive midfielder and three attacking players, was used only twice and remained undefeated: 0-0 against Ponte Preta and 4-1 against Fluminense, both in last year's Brazilian Championship.
However, in the last six matches of the Brazilian Championship, Ney Franco has used three defensive midfielders in the team and the results have not appeared, except for the 3-1 victory over América-RN. With Paulinho, Jailton and Léo Medeiros in the middle, the team drew three: 2-2 with Inter, 1-1 with Atlético-MG and 0-0 with São Paulo, and lost two: 2-1 to Paraná and 1-0 against Grêmio.
The only time Ney used four defensive midfielders, which theoretically would provide more protection to the team, was in the 3-0 defeat to Santa Cruz, in the 2006 Brazilian Championship. However, Flamengo played with several reserves, as the main players were rested for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil final.
One factor that may be leading the coach to field a large number of defensive midfielders in recent games is the lack of creative options. While Renato Augusto was on the national team, and with Renato's departure, the only creative player was Léo Lima, who failed to deliver. But with the arrival of Roger, Ibson, and Maxi Biancucchi, the team will gain a touch of quality in midfield, and Ney will be able to prove to the fans that he's not a defensive player, as the stats already show.
