Two new players began training with Flamengo's professionals this Thursday, at Ninho do Urubu, in Vargem Grande, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The club has signed attacking midfielder Leandro Assumpção until the end of the year. He was previously playing for Olaria and played for Madureira in this year's Campeonato Carioca.
Another player training with the group is Rodrigo Andrade, a midfielder who came up through the youth ranks. He didn't travel with the team to the Malaysia International Tournament, which begins next Wednesday.

The Espanyol board announced on its official website that midfielder Jônatas will not return to Flamengo, but the Rubro-Negro's vice-president of football, Kléber Leite, remains hopeful of counting on the athlete for the remainder of the Brazilian Championship.
The director expressed optimism about the negotiations. Flamengo sent a document to the Barcelona club and is awaiting a response. If the proposal is accepted, the player would remain with the club until June 2008.
