When the "Rubro-negro para sempre" project is launched next Tuesday (09.11), at 10:30 am, Flamengo will begin construction of the professional module of the club's training center, in Vargem Grande. With a first-class project, Flamengo will provide the Flamengo delegation with accommodations, a cafeteria, a kitchen, an auditorium, and more. All this to allow the professional players to focus more on training, which since Luzemburgo's arrival has become more frequent full-time.
"After a series of meetings and considerations, including a request from coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, who has been personally committed to this project, we decided to begin construction on blocks 16 and 17, which will serve professional football. There, we will have accommodations for 48 athletes, a cafeteria, kitchen, auditorium, game room, weight room, physiotherapy pool, medical department, and locker rooms. A structure worthy of Flamengo's greatness," said Vice President of Assets Alexandre Wrobel.
It's worth noting to fans that nothing in the construction of the professional module will be temporary. There is, indeed, an initial plan to use containers to improve the services offered within the training center, but this entire structure is temporary.
"The containers being installed will significantly improve the CT's facilities, but they are temporary. They are intended to meet an immediate need, hence the urgency to expedite the CT's final construction as much as possible. I believe that if everything goes as planned, with everyone's help, we will complete this first phase of construction in less than a year," explained Wrobel.
