The main hall of Gávea, at Flamengo's social headquarters, experienced an intense night this Monday (30.08). At the extraordinary meeting of the deliberative council, the club's advisors approved SKY's sponsorship contract for the red-black basketball team for another year.
On the agenda today was a major victory for the club's board of directors. The approximately 300 board members present signed a motion supporting the Flamengo board's decision, which condemns the CBF's decision to declare São Paulo the holder of the Taça das Bolinhas (Balls Cup), which should have been awarded to the first five-time Brazilian champion. The board members also emphasized their support for Flamengo's fight to rightfully reclaim the trophy.
The councilors also decided to suspend, for now, the punishment of the entity's president, Ricardo Teixeira.
