Deliberative Council approves contract between Globo and Flamengo
The agreement between the parties was welcomed by advisors and the partnership will last from 2012 to 2015.

In an extraordinary meeting held on Monday night (30.05), Flamengo's Deliberative Council approved, by acclamation, the contract for the transfer of rights to capture, display, fix and transmit sounds and images of the Brazilian professional football championship, seasons 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 between Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and TV Globo Comunicação e Participações SA
After receiving favorable opinions from the Fiscal Council and the Permanent Finance and Legal Affairs Committees, the board members approved the contract. Flamengo president Patricia Amorim, present at the meeting, celebrated the agreement, which will only enhance the club.
"It's the biggest contract Flamengo has ever signed. It's a huge victory for the club to have signed this television rights deal. We signed the highest amount, as did Corinthians, but based on the pay-per-view sales we've made in recent years, we believe it will be the biggest of any club. It's a huge achievement," he said.
