We are pleased to inform you that we are beginning the process of revitalizing the physical spaces of our Gávea headquarters. This process aims to transform our spectacular physical space into one of the best social clubs in Brazil. It will be guided by the Gávea Reurbanization Plan, which will be submitted to members for consideration later this year.
The first project we will undertake will be the complete modernization of our garage, including, in addition to extensive renovations to the physical structure, a new service infrastructure. These garage works will begin at the end of May and are expected to last 60 days. Once completed, the new Flamengo Rowing Club garage will feature:
Greater control over vehicle entry and exit.
- Insurance against damage and theft of vehicles
- Security for members, with a complete restriction on pedestrian access via the ramp.
- Greater availability of spaces for those who actually use the social headquarters.
- Redistribution and better use of space
- Redefining spaces for motorcycle parking and bicycle parking.
- Clarity in signage and demarcation of parking spaces.
- Renovation, painting and general modernization of the space.
In order to make the necessary investments for the physical works viable, as well as to ensure excellence in the provision of day-to-day services, we have entered into an operations contract with one of the most renowned companies in the sector – Estapar – responsible for the administration of important parking lots in the city, such as the Argentina (Botafogo), Rio Branco 1 and Cinelândia buildings.
In addition to increasing the value of the Club's assets, the contract with Estapar will reduce maintenance costs and generate monthly revenue for Flamengo, which will be reinvested in paying our employees and maintaining other areas of our social headquarters.
The table below presents the prices that Estapar will charge starting from the delivery of the physical improvements and the guarantee of the services described above (scheduled to begin on July 01st). It is the result of extensive market research that included large social clubs throughout the country and paid parking lots in the vicinity of our Club. Furthermore, it reflects our priority concern in subsidizing the fees for club members who frequent the social, sporting, and leisure activities. As you will see, the prices are below the market rate for parking spaces in our region.
