Opening day is always synonymous with nerves. It was no different for the 48 members of CRFlamengo who make up the Choir, led by maestro Luís Lima.
It was the first time that the choir members performed in public and outside of Gávea, where rehearsals are held.
Friends, family and admirers filled the auditorium at the Barra da Tijuca Community Chamber headquarters, with capacity for 350 people, where two more groups (CCBT and FEIC) also performed.
The event lasted about two hours, and a new meeting has already been scheduled. The Choir's next performance will be in August, with no date yet set, in the CRF's Main Hall.
Flamengo Choir rehearsals are held every Tuesday, from 16pm to 19pm, in the Rogério Steinberg auditorium, located on the 2nd floor of the CRF headquarters.
