Fla Choir performs at the Ramatis Spiritist Society

The CR Flamengo Choir will perform next Sunday (October 13.10th) at the Ramatis Spiritist Society theater in Rio de Janeiro's Tijuca neighborhood. The annual event will celebrate the Ramatis Choir's anniversary and will begin at 16 p.m. Each attendee needs to bring just two kilos of food, preferably non-perishable.
"There's an auditorium with a capacity of 600 people, which is usually packed because it's a wonderful event. Sometimes there are even people standing. We go there to promote Flamengo. It's always really cool... culture is a very good thing," said Luiz Lima, conductor of the Flamengo choir.
In addition to the CR Flamengo Choir, five other choirs will be present. The red-and-black choirs, participating in the event for the second time, are expected to begin their performance around 17:30 p.m. and will sing exclusively MPB songs.
The CR Flamengo Choir was founded in 2006 and rehearses on Tuesdays from 15 p.m. to 18 p.m. in the playground at the Gávea clubhouse. It is composed of both men and women and currently has 38 members. According to conductor Luiz Lima, there are still eight spots open for club members who want to join the group.
