Flamengo Choir performs at Christ the Redeemer
Event is held in support of the Breast Cancer Prevention Campaign

The CR Flamengo Choir will perform in support of the Breast Cancer Prevention Campaign next Wednesday (October 02.10nd) at 18 pm at Christ the Redeemer. To get to the event venue, which will feature other musical attractions, just take the Corcovado Train, in the Cosme Velho neighborhood, for the price of R$46 (half price for R$23).
"Our choir is very beautiful and performs frequently. I believe this invitation also came about because of the importance of Flamengo's name," said Luiz Lima, conductor of the Flamengo choir. He also said the performance should last about half an hour and will feature both popular and sacred music.
The CR Flamengo Choir was founded in 2007 and rehearses on Tuesdays at the Gávea headquarters. It is composed of both men and women and currently has 36 members. According to conductor Luiz Lima, there are still ten spots open for club members who wish to join the group.
"Some people, usually over 50, no longer want to do physical activities and decide to join the choir to stay active in the club. Despite this, anyone, of any age, can participate," explained the conductor.
