Children leave amazed at citizenship event in Gávea
With President Patricia Amorim and Zico present, students had an unforgettable morning

Flamengo Regatta Club, in partnership with the Civil Defense and the Rio de Janeiro City Department of Education, held a lecture on "Building Citizenship in Schools" at its Gávea headquarters on Wednesday morning (August 18.08). Aiming to disseminate knowledge on topics such as citizenship, the environment, and health, the event featured club president Patricia Amorim and Flamengo's greatest idol, Zico. Both shared their experiences in sports and demonstrated the importance of education.
"Studying is essential. I joined Flamengo when I was 13, and even though I was playing soccer, my family never gave up on my studies. I think you should follow the same path, whatever profession you choose," said Zico.
Under the watchful eye of the children, the red-black leader also gave her contribution.
"Today I have the honor of being president of Flamengo, and knowing this responsibility, every day I try to give my best for our club. Know that Flamengo is open to all of you," said Patricia Amorim.
The event also featured the group Chegando de surpresa (Arriving by Surprise), made up of Comlurb street cleaners. The children also had the opportunity to get autographs from Zico and received gifts and snacks.
