Delair Dumbrosk is elected president of the Deliberative Council
Former president of Flamengo will take office for the next three years (2013-2015)

Former Flamengo president Delair Dumbrosk was elected this Thursday (13.12) as the new president of the club's Deliberative Council. The vote, held in the main hall of Gávea, ended at 21 pm and the count, which took place afterwards, revealed the victory of the candidate supported by the new board, who received 287 votes against 238 for former president Gilberto Cardoso Filho, the second placed.
"It's a great joy. Few people have the honor of holding three positions of power at this club. I was president of the Fiscal Council, interim president of the sixth title, and now I'm on the Deliberative Board. I hope not to disappoint and to bring political harmony to this house. We need to create new bylaws, improve contract approval, and I need you. Without you, I'm nothing," said Delair, who promised to work hard to implement the changes planned by the new board, elected on the 3rd.
"It wasn't an easy election. Gilberto was already president of the club and of the Deliberative Council, so he has a history. Now it's time to seek political unity within this house so we can reform the bylaws. We'll work together with the new administration. I owe a large part of this victory to this blue wave. The blue wave is Flamengo's biggest new development, and I was fortunate to be chosen by them."
President of the club for the next three years, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello was present and congratulated Delair.
"I supported Delair because he's been our supporter from the beginning. We may have more affinity, but whichever candidate won, I'm sure we'd have a great Flamengo fan at the helm of the Board. It's always important to have a powerful president at your side, but implementing the professional model we want doesn't depend on reforming the bylaws. This reform is important in other areas, such as expanding the membership and implementing a new fan membership program," he concluded.
