Flamengo's Christmas, a year-end party held at Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea, couldn't have been more lively. Hundreds of children and members were at the club on Saturday morning (17/12) and made the day perfect. The kids enjoyed the giveaway, played a lot in the Urubinha area, complete with a group of entertainers and snacks, and even had a visit from Santa Claus, who inaugurated the children's party room.

As expected, president Patrícia Amorim was present and proudly celebrated the inauguration of yet another space for the club's children.

"We brought Santa Claus to inaugurate the children's party room, which is another great achievement for the members and for Flamengo. I'd like to thank everyone involved in this project. We are very proud to be able to present another space for the red-and-black children and I hope everyone enjoys it. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with achievements and many victories for our Mengão next year," said Patrícia.

Fla-Gávea vice-president Luis Claudio Cotta highlighted the importance of Flamengo being not only a sporting club, but also a social one.

"I thank everyone who worked on yet another project to benefit the club. We want to continue being a club that's not just focused on sports, but also has leisure spaces for red-and-black families to come and enjoy whenever they want. I wish everyone a prosperous New Year and a wonderful Christmas," he said.
