Eduardo Bandeira de Mello is the new president of the Flamengo Regatta Club. The candidate from the Blue List was elected by the club's members this Monday (December 03.12). Bandeira de Mello received 1.414 votes, compared to 914 for Patricia Amorim, from the Yellow List, and 347 for Jorge Rorigues, from the Pink List. Voting, which took place at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in the Gávea headquarters, began at 8:21 a.m. and ended at 01:23 p.m. The counting began minutes later and the official result was released around 20:XNUMX p.m.

The president-elect thanked the support he received from members and fans and was enthusiastic about the victory.

"I want to thank all the fans, members, and activists, and everyone who helped us so much. Now Chapa Azul is no more. We are all red-and-blacks. I'm very happy and my heart is racing," commented Eduardo Bandeira de Mello.

The total number of members eligible to vote was 5.990. Eduardo Bandeira de Mello will take over as president of the Most Beloved in Brazil for the next three years, from 2013 to 2015.
