Flamengo actor Thiago Martins was in Gávea photographing for Patrícia Kogut's column in the newspaper O Globo, and he made sure to declare his love for his beloved club. Thiago will debut in TV Globo's new soap opera, "Avenida Brasil," playing a soccer player, and he took the photos inside the Mais Querido's field.

The 23-year-old artist played for Flamengo when he was little, spent almost a year in the youth ranks of the Rubro-Negro and chose to dedicate himself to an acting career.

"I played a lot of football here at Flamengo, but football started to get in the way of my acting. I rehearsed a lot and didn't have time for training. I actually opted for an acting career, but I continued following Flamengo, always," Thiago said, before adding.

"If I had to define Flamengo in my life, it would be with these three words: race, love and passion. My whole family is Botafogo fans, I was the only one who chose to be Flamengo, I wanted to be different," the actor added, repeating the words of star Ronaldinho.

"Flamengo is Flamengo."

Thiago Martins received a Flamengo shirt personalized with his name, a pair of shorts, and a soccer ball from president Patricia Amorim.
