Continuing with the modernization, restoration, and improvement projects at its headquarters, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo has implemented a new entry control measure since last week: electronic barriers. While this may seem like a small measure with little impact at first glance, it's not the reality within the club.
From the moment the entire membership system began to be controlled electronically at the club's entrances, many members who were in an irregular situation and continued to frequent Gávea had to regularize their status, generating good revenue, which will be reinvested in the club itself.
"In just one week of electronic control, the budget difference has already reached 50%. This is very positive, given that all revenue will be used for investments within the club, such as the gate project itself," said executive director of finance Daniel Paiva.
A meeting between Fla-Gávea's vice presidents of finance, Michel Levy, Cacau Cotta, and Alexandre Lima, the vice president of finance, decided to begin the implementation of electronic barriers. However, that wasn't the only decision made at the meeting. Security cameras and other checkpoints will also be installed, modernizing all the club's entrances.
