Flamengo's acting president, Delair Dumbrosck, announced this morning, at a press conference, some measures that have been adopted to overcome the effects of the financial crisis.

Dumbrosck has actively participated in the football department's activities, including hiring and firing players, coaches and other professionals in the department, which in the last 4 months has fired 64% more than it hired.

The payroll will be reduced by approximately 11%, following careful studies that were carried out to ensure the club's operation within standards of excellence, and the finance department is considering cutting expenses on travel, representation, maintenance, among others.

At the request of the President on leave, Marcio Braga, and due to some articles published in the press, Dumbrosck ordered the hiring of independent auditors to clarify the evolution of the debt in relation to previous administrations.

The Gávea Revitalization Program, which includes the complete renovation of Flamengo's sports park, the first phase of which restores the social area, is still underway. The project has been adapted to government requirements and is now in the hands of Governor Sergio Cabral. Additionally, specific revitalization projects are being implemented through participatory campaigns with members and Flamengo fans, such as the painting of the club's headquarters.

Flamengo leads the movement of Olympic Athlete Training Clubs with the objective of bringing resources from the Agnelo-Piva Law to invest in the club's Olympic sports and also participates in discussions in Brasília about the necessary adjustments to Timemania, to improve its performance and recover the club's fiscal balance, fulfilling the necessary requirements to raise the R$25 million already approved by the Sports Incentive Law for the Training Center projects.

He also announced that, in the next game, the team will enter the field with the uniform without a sponsor, opening space for negotiations with all interested in sponsoring the club, taking the opportunity to thank Petrobras for the 25 years of partnership in great red-black achievements;

The club has also launched a series of campaigns to generate new revenue. The first is a cultural contest to award the 11 best declarations of love for Flamengo with jerseys worn by the players in the Fla X Flu match. These jerseys are true heirlooms, collector's items, as jerseys without sponsorship will not be sold.

Fans can participate via the website www.flamantosagrado.com.br, by phone 0 XX 21 7802 0220 and via SMS with the word FLA and the declaration to 49400.

Also participating in the press conference were the Vice Presidents of Football and Olympic Sports, Kleber Leite and João Henrique Areias, the executive director of marketing, Ricardo Hinrichsen and the executive of agency 3, André Dumbrosck.
