Clube de Regatas do Flamengo clarifies that advance ticket sales for the game between Flamengo x Náutico held on July 5th began on July 1st (Tuesday) at five sales points announced by Flamengo on its website and in press releases sent to the press.

As of 20:00 PM on Friday, July 4th, only 11.000 (eleven thousand) tickets had been sold. On Saturday, the day of the match, advance ticket offices operated normally from 11:00 AM to 17:00 PM, and ticket booths No. 05, 08, and 09 at the Maracanã remained open with 17 ticket agents at each until 10 minutes into the second half of the game.

It should be clarified that contrary to what was reported, at no time were there any tickets missing at the Maracanã outposts or ticket offices.

The huge queues were caused by around 20.000 fans who wanted to buy half-price tickets in the last 60 minutes before the match started.

CR Flamengo and the company contracted to sell tickets are obliged to comply with the legislation, check and register the documents that guarantee the fan the right to half-price tickets, which resulted in the slow service.

We regret any inconvenience caused in the last hour before the game began, but we would like to remind you that all necessary measures and responsibilities were fulfilled by the club.

Marcio Baroukel de Souza Braga
