New official Flamengo and Olympikus store will open on November 23rd
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - inFlamengo will open the largest sporting goods store in Latin America at its headquarters in Gávea on the 23rd. In partnership with Olympikus, Fla Concept arrives, the first initiative of a major project that should be completed on the club's 115th anniversary, on November 15, 2010, with the founding of the Flamengo Museum, which is the crown jewel of this major project to enhance the club's brand.
\In addition to the store's physical size, its sales capacity is also noteworthy: there will be around 350 official club products for sale. There are already around 300 licensed club products for sale, and with the launch of the new store, a new series of red-and-black merchandise will be launched, expanding the range of purchasing options for fans. A themed bar will also be part of the complex, which is seen as a potential draw not only to fans but also to tourists.
\"The idea is to transform this complex into a tourist attraction, as happens in other places around the world, such as the Boca Juniors museum in Argentina and the Barcelona museum in Spain," explains the club's marketing director, Ricardo Hinrichsen.
\In an interview with Flamengo's official website team on November 6th, the sports marketing director of the Vulcabrás/Azaléia Group, which owns the Olympikus brand, explained the concept used in the construction of the venue. It's worth noting that the partnership between Flamengo and Olympikus continues to yield results for the club. Sales figures continue to rise. On Monday morning (November 16th), Vulcabras released a new report counting official Flamengo merchandise sold to retailers. A total of 847.728 items. These figures refer to sales since July 11st, when the sports brand officially took over the club's supply contract.
