Flamengo players disembark at Salgado Filho Airport in Porto Alegre. The Flamengo delegation, which departed Tuesday morning for Montevideo, Uruguay, has already arrived in Porto Alegre, where they will make a connection. Since the flight to the Uruguayan capital doesn't depart until 15:30 p.m., the players will have lunch at a steakhouse at the Rio Grande do Sul airport. In Uruguay, coach Joel Santana is leading a training session at the Defensor stadium, Nacional's rival.
On the flight from Rio de Janeiro to Porto Alegre, most of the players preferred to sleep. Others, like Obina and Jaílton, played cards. The game of choice was "cacheta," already a tradition among the red-and-blacks.
Flamengo, who lead Group 4 of the Copa Libertadores with four points, face Nacional this Thursday at 18 p.m. (Brasília time). The Uruguayans are in third place with three points.
