Fla releases official statement about problems with athlete Bruno

Flamengo's official website has released an official statement below regarding the club's stance on the recent events involving athlete Bruno Fernandes das Dores de Souza. See the full statement below.

Rio de Janeiro, July 07, 2010.

Considering the facts widely reported by the media, reporting that the athlete Bruno Fernandes das Dores de Souza was involved in the disappearance of Eliza Samúdio, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, through its president Patricia Amorim and its attorney general Dr. Rafael De Piro, understands it is best to maintain the removal of the aforementioned athlete.

Furthermore, the club appointed a commission, made up of the following notable jurists: Mário Pucheu, lawyer, Theophilo Miguel, federal judge, judges Marcus Faver, Siro Darlan and Walter D'Agostino, in addition to labor judges Marcelo Antero and José da Fonseca Martins Júnior, so that, respecting the guarantees and fundamental rights, which should be granted to any member of the public, they examine the situation and recommend to the presidency what is best for Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
