Flamengo and Civil Defense promote another "Building Citizenship" event.

Gymnast Jade Barbosa will talk about her experiences to children in the public school system.

Next Tuesday, the 28th, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, in partnership with the Civil Defense and the Education Department of the City of Rio de Janeiro, will promote the event "Building Citizenship in Schools" at its social headquarters in Gávea. The program, which starts at 9 am, will also feature the presence of Flamengo gymnast Jade Barbosa, who will discuss her childhood and professional success with the students.

Approximately 120 children from the Nilton Braga and Alexandre Farah municipal schools will be at the headquarters of the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) club where they will attend lectures on the environment, sustainable development, and citizenship, as well as learn about the importance of Civil Defense work in society. It will be an interactive discussion that will raise awareness about the dangers of litter on slopes, illegal construction, and other important everyday actions.

Comlurb also embraced the idea, and Renato Sorriso, Brazil's most famous garbage collector, will be sharing a bit about his life, childhood, and citizenship, and will also playfully demonstrate, through music, all the care that should be taken with garbage. To complete the experience, there will be a show provided by the celebrated Jorge Casagrande School of Drummers.

The children will also be treated to a presentation by the Municipal Department of the Environment, featuring a theatrical piece whose main theme is the preservation of human life through the preservation of the environment.
