Fla ends celebrations with a show at Vivo Rio
Samba dancers stir up the nation and transform a party house into a stadium in the south zone

A shower of confetti, the official anthem, and cheers from the fans. The celebrations for Flamengo's 115th anniversary couldn't have ended any other way. On Monday night (November 15.11), the show, led by Arlindo Cruz, with appearances by Diogo Nogueira, Dudu Nobre, Rogê, and Bebeto, transformed Vivo Rio into a veritable Maracanã stadium, with samba, pagode, and, of course, songs praising the country's most beloved club.
The traditional green and white colors of the concert hall, located in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, had to share space with red and black this Monday. All for a grand tribute to another year of Flamengo's glory. And when samba artist Arlindo Cruz kicked off the festivities with the song "O show tem que manter," the excitement was like a decisive goal.
Shortly after, more Brazilian music stars—and, of course, some of the biggest supporters of Flamengo—entered the field. Dudu Nobre, who thrilled the crowd with hits like "Grande Família" and "Dondon," couldn't hide his joy at being part of such a special moment.
"This type of event must become a tradition in Flamengo's history. It's great to be here, and I'm sure this is yet another example of how immense and passionate our fans are. Regardless of the moment, Flamengo is bigger than anything, and we are Flamengo fans above all else," he said.
Rogê took the opportunity to release the song "Domingo é do Mengo", which he composed after hearing a joke from a friend.
"It was Wednesday and I said to a friend: Sunday there's a Flamengo game. Then he replied: not Sunday, Sunday. It stuck, I got that in my head and decided to write the song," he noted.
Passion of the people – Arlindo Cruz, the party's "master of ceremonies," emphasized the fact that samba and soccer are brought together on a special occasion for the country's most popular club. According to him, these are the greatest joys of the Brazilian people.
"People's joys are music and football. We were able to bring it all together in a wonderful event. The situation is even more important because it's Flamengo's birthday. Everyone came here for this. It's essential to be able to unite fans in this way," he added.
