Flamengo will pay tribute to past idols and young winners.
A series of events will be held this Saturday in Gávea for the 81 champions and the 2011 young champions.

The weekend will be a celebration at Gávea. And it's not because of the lead in the Brazilian Championship or any other good result in football, a common occurrence in 2011. Continuing the policy of restoring and enhancing the club's social headquarters, Flamengo's board will hold a series of events this Saturday (August 13.08th), including a great tribute to past and present champions.
To kick off the festive day, the Adílio court, located near Flamengo's Football department, will be inaugurated. The space will bear the name of the eternal number 8, who, along with the fans, celebrates the 30th anniversary of Flamengo's greatest achievement: the 1981 World Championship.
Next, it will be the turn of another world champion to have his name immortalized with a space in the club's headquarters. Nunes, the "João danado" (a nickname meaning "the mischievous João"), the goalscorer in decisive matches, will have his name given to the locker rooms and the barbecue area of Flapel, the club's amateur football group, of which he is a member.
Famous for his ability to outmaneuver opponents, Julio Cesar "Uri Geller" wasn't a world champion, but he will also receive a tribute from the board. Still very active at the club, he is one of the people responsible for Flamengo's veterans team, which travels all over Brazil enchanting fans.
Traveling back in time, the boys who won the state championship in the pre-junior and under-7 categories will also be remembered at the Flamengo family lunch, which will take place in the main hall of Gávea, starting at 1 pm. After celebrating their title against Vasco, the boys from Gávea will receive tributes from their parents. Like them, the under-15 team, which won the biggest competition in the world in that category, will also be part of the celebration.
To conclude the day's festivities, the cornerstone for the second phase of construction on the children's playground in Gávea will be laid. Soon, in addition to the modern recreation area, the young Flamengo fans will have a 250 m2 party hall at their disposal.
"It will be a day of celebration in Gávea. We will be honoring past idols and taking care of the club's future, which are the children and young athletes of the club. Without a doubt, we will have a Saturday full of happy Flamengo fans," stated the vice-president of Fla-Gávea, Cacau Cotta.
