Fla closes preseason in Porto Feliz
The red-black delegation will stay in the interior of São Paulo from the 6th to the 16th and train at the Desportivo Brasil Training Center, which belongs to Traffic
By Eduardo Peixoto - GloboEsporte.Com - inA meeting on Monday afternoon in Gávea confirmed Flamengo's preseason training camp in Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo. The delegation will be staying at the training center of Desportivo Brasil, a club managed by Traffic.
\The schedule includes departure to the city, located 110km from the capital of São Paulo, on January 6th. The return to Rio de Janeiro is scheduled for the 16th, the day before the debut in the Campeonato Carioca, against Duque de Caxias, at Maracanã.
\Flamengo's good relationship with Traffic made the decision easier. Vice President of Football Marcos Braz spent the weekend in São Paulo and received an official invitation from the company's president, Julio Mariz.
\Soccer manager Isaías Tinoco visited the training center facilities, which include five fields and accommodations for up to 144 athletes and 48 coaching staff members. The Brazilian champion will not incur any costs for staying at the facility.
\For the past three seasons, Flamengo has trained in Teresópolis. However, the players have complained about the facilities at Granja Comary, which lack air conditioning and are considered cramped.
