Fla-Gávea begins renovations to the children's playground
A space for young red-and-black fans at the club's headquarters will be remodeled and will gain new attractions.

After making structural improvements to the Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park, Fla-Gávea, the department responsible for maintaining Flamengo's clubhouse, is turning its attention to a longtime dream of its members: renovating the Gávea children's playground. The new playground is about to be built.
Currently underutilized, with scattered toys, the playground will get a makeover. The new space, which will be implemented within a few days, will include a plaza, a party room, a mini-kitchenette, children's and adult restrooms, a changing room, a park administration office, a storage area, a games court, a synthetic turf field, kiosks, and a playroom.
"The main objective is to provide children with adequate space within the club. The park and the reorganization of spaces were the project's priorities," said Marise Lino, the project's architect.
In addition to the improvements already announced, the playground will also receive a top-of-the-line toy, valued at R$80, donated to the club. According to Fla-Gávea general director Cacau Cotta, the project has been divided into two phases, the first of which will begin next week.
"The project is divided into two phases. We will begin work next week. The investment will be R$150.000, but this cost will certainly not be borne solely by the club. Partners and major red-and-black clubs will help us, and the cost should be cut in half," said Cacau, explaining that there is only one pending issue in the project.
"Everything is finalized. The only thing left pending is the name we will give the space. But that is a matter for our president," concluded Cacau Cotta.
