Fla-Gávea inaugurates more improvements at the headquarters
Bathroom renovations at Alameda Paissandu meet long-standing requests from members

In addition to investing efforts in building a high-quality soccer training center in Vargem Grande, Flamengo's board continues to focus on improvements to the club's headquarters in Gávea. And last weekend, members and regulars were able to witness another breakthrough firsthand.
One of the club's main complaints is that the locker rooms at Alameda Paissandu have received new doors. Renovated by the club's own employees, which generates significant savings for the club's coffers, the 20 wooden bathroom doors were replaced with aluminum ones. The 14 doors in the pool locker rooms are also being replaced, and the work is expected to be completed within 15 days.
The improvements to the club's social headquarters don't stop there. The Flapel social field is brand new. The synthetic turf has been fully restored, and the field will also have a locker room and barbecue area, which are already under construction and should be ready in 20 days.
The futsal court, located near the soccer department and the professional field, is also being repaired. The unevenness is no longer there, and the renovation, carried out by Gávea employees, will be completed in the next 10 days.
"The members are approving the renovations, and that's the most important thing. A woman in her 80s, a member and a longtime member, came into my office crying and thanking me for the care the club has received. It was very moving, and there's no greater reward than this recognition," said Fla-Gávea's vice president and director, Luis Claudio Cotta.

In 2010, Flamengo's board of directors paid close attention to the club's headquarters. Renovations were made to the Fadel-Fadel water park and the children's playground, as well as effective cleaning throughout the clubhouse.
The Hélio Maurício gymnasium was completely renovated, now hosting Flamengo basketball training sessions and even matches, as was Praça Carlinhos, located next to the Togo Renan Soares gymnasium. A bronze bust was even placed in the square in honor of the former player and coach, a multiple champion with Flamengo.
