The club launches contests to encourage participation in the 'Red and Black Forever' project.

Flamengo fans have shown support for the "Red-Black Forever" project, which aims to grow and modernize the Ninho do Urubu training center in Vargem Grande, which still has a precarious structure to serve both the youth academy and the professional team. The campaign was launched two weeks ago, and by last Friday, more than 3.500 units (R$ 250 each) of the initial batch of five thousand had been sold. This number guarantees the club approximately R$ 875.
The marketing department wants more and has launched three contests to mobilize club embassies, organized fan groups, and Flamengo youth academies spread throughout Brazil. A competition between them aims to increase sales.
In the fan club competition, the one that sells the most bricks and presents the respective number of orders shipped will have the right to nominate a bar in the city to be themed with Flamengo logos by Ambev, the club's partner in the project. The format is the same for the organized fan groups.
In the case of the youth academies, the winner will be awarded a tour of the professional team's training camp and will be honored at the game following the end of the promotion in which Flamengo is the home team. The contests began on the 18th and will run until December 18th. As of last Friday, the club had registered sales of the bricks in 298 Brazilian cities.
The bricks sold will bear the names of the fans and will be displayed on one of the walls of the training center, which will have space for 15 units. The project is budgeted at R$ 25 million, but it will not be funded solely with money raised by the campaign. Club officials are seeking new partnerships. The inauguration is scheduled for the end of 2012.
The sale takes place in three ways: at the club headquarters, on the official website www.flamengo.com.br or by phone (21) 2125 7001. Payment can be made in up to five installments by credit card.
