Flamengo intends to reciprocate Rio de Janeiro Mayor Cesar Maia's tribute to Flamengo fans. According to Flamengo president Marcio Braga, the club's board will meet with Botafogo fan Cesar Maia on the 19th and present a gift on behalf of the entire fan base.

- We're going to take the number 12 shirt, the Flamengo fans' shirt, to the mayor as a thank you - said Marcio Braga.

Some fans will also be present at the visit and the band Charanga Rubro-Negra is also expected to participate.

This week, the City Hall declared the red-and-black fan club a Cultural Asset of Rio de Janeiro. It was a tribute to the red-and-black nation for its active participation in the Brazilian Championship, with eight of the ten largest attendances in the competition, as well as a record: 82.044 paying spectators against Atlético-PR.
