Flamengo has few defeats in 2008

Besides trying to reach the 400-win mark in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo has maintained a healthy and low loss average this year. In the first half of the year, the Red-Blacks have only lost six matches, the equivalent of one loss per month. If they avoid losing to Sporting this Sunday, the team will close out the second half of the year with this feat.

This season, Flamengo suffered three defeats in the Carioca (two to Botafogo and one to Fluminense), two in the Libertadores (Nacional-URU and América-MEX) and one in the Brazilian, to São Paulo.

On the other hand, in 35 matches in 2008, Flamengo won 25 of them, became Rio de Janeiro champion and leads the Brazilian Championship.
