Flamengo won its first match in the beach soccer World Cup, held in Guarapiranga, São Paulo. After losing to Barcelona in its opening match, the red-and-black team bounced back and defeated the Seattle Sounders of the United States 4-1. Souza scored three times and Anderson completed the scoring for Flamengo.
"Today we showed the real Flamengo, with goals and motivation. Against São Paulo, we're going in search of victory," said Souza, referring to the team's next match in the competition.
This Tuesday (15.05), Flamengo faces São Paulo, at 19 pm. The SporTV channel broadcasts the game live.
